World of Cultures, is a 21-day multicultural festival celebrating the vibrancy of Tāmaki Makaurau and its people. Enjoy more than 70 free or low-cost activities and events across the region.
World of Cultures starts on 21 March — coinciding with Race Relations Day and giving us the opportunity to reflect on what binds us, what makes us different and to take a united stand against racism.

For a fantastic one-day, not-to-be-missed event, head to Mt Roskill War Memorial Park’s annual CultureFest(2 April). Experience colourful performances, cultural music and dance (traditional and contemporary), enlightening discussion and delicious food from Ethiopian to Indian, Thai, Malay, Chilean, Eritrean, Slovakian, Afghani, Māori, Pasifika and more.
