Calling all friends and whānau to Tāmaki Makaurau's second edition of the Play Festival!

Join us at Tuna Mau / Western Park (Ponsonby) on Saturday 6th April from 11am to 4pm to play and explore traditional games, music and food from the many different cultures present in our community! All ages welcome.

The Play Festival celebrates cultural identity, facilitates intercultural connections and creates a safe and inclusive environment for people to play, interact and simply have fun.

There will be:

  • traditional games for any age, delivered by play providers from diverse culture groups

  • nature play and loose parts play

  • arts and crafts activities

  • traditional group performances

  • music and dance

  • ethnic street food

Our very first Play Festival was a huge success, thank you to everyone who came to see us at Western Park on the 8th of April 2023 to play and explore the traditional games, music, performances & food from the many different cultures present in our community!
